Welcome  to our website. We are in the process of starting this exciting Museum and would like to share the ups and downs of this adventure with you. Make sure to bookmark our site as there will be changes happening in the coming months. We appreciate any feedback, ideas and donations both in kind and in money.

 Become a Founding Member

We had an idea about two years ago and now we are at a stage where we need your support. Become a founding member of the
North American Museum of Flight Simulation, which will be situated at Boundary Bay Airport in Delta, BC.

In return for your support as a founding Member we cannot offer much. We want at least 95% of the membership fees to go to the museum. We can promise you that recognition of your contribution and support will take place and we will get back to you about that at a later stage.

A founding Membership is $ 25.00 a year and off course we can tell you (like so many others do) that for nickels a day you will be the proud supporter of the Museum.

Please Donate $ 25.00 for a one year Founding Membership below and make sure we get your full postal address so we can mail you you a membership card when you sign up.

On behalf of the North American Museum of Flight Simulation we thank you.

OUR FIRST SIMULATOR

On April 27th we moved our first simulator to Boundary Bay Airport. The simulator is based on the F-4 Skyhawk and in the coming months we will add some finishing touches to it, so it can be dispalyed at the BBA Open House in July.

Flying Start Young Program
Fun educational programs for school aged children 13 years old & under
This planned 90 minute session introduces children to aeroplanes and flying and our experienced team of Pilots and Crew take the children through how aircraft are built and how they fly.
Using various interactive resources we plan to profile the roles of pilots, cabin crew, and other essential roles that are undertaken at the airport.
All children have the opportunity to be at the controls of one of our simulators and actually fly it! Our helpful and informative instructors assist our “captains of the future” while they are at the controls and provide an engaging insight about some of the instrumentation in the cockpit.
These young captains will also watch some short aviation related films and even do practical exercises such as building paper airplanes. Lots of student participation will be encouraged and there will be opportunities for the children to ask our teachers questions. It will be an interactive session and one that children will enjoy.

Flying Start Program

Aviation themed learning designed for children and students 13 to 16 years.

We plan to run a variety of educational programs that will be of interest to your group or school.

Sessions are tailored to meet your group’s specific needs and include information on simulation today and where it has evolved from, simulator design, aerodynamics and jobs in the aviation industry. In addition, all participants will spend time at the controls of  one of our flight simulators.

Our Flying Start Program will be facilitated by instructors – all of whom have experience in the aviation industry. Our sessions will be aimed at being fully interactive and allow the teens to have fun in a learning environment.

There will be a restriction on participants in our programs and we will post more about this later.

For the Older kids...16 and up!

When we get our first simulator operational (in a couple or 4 years) you will have a chance to be the Pilot in Command and take the controls of a functioning flight simulator, normally reserved exclusively for training and testing airline pilots! The realism of the views and sound  will amaze you - you'll be convinced you're really flying! Remember, you're at the controls, you do the actual flying, under the supervision of a flight instructor. No previous flying experience required. There will be a minimal charge for any flight in our large simulators.

We need more than Money and old Simulators!

We are tackling the same issue as every other non-profit society, raising money.

We have applications in with the big players in the simulator industry as well as other aviation greats for donations.

It is a long road and there is no guarantee that a cheque or an old simulator will come our way.

When you start a museum there is also the need for all the essential things that are needed, such as chairs, tables, brooms, display materials etc.

If you have anything that you would like to donate to the museum and live in the lower mainland of BC, let us know. You can send us an e-mail:

The North American Museum of Flight Simulation, invites people of all ages and from all regions to explore the wonders of flight simulation. It will do this by collecting and displaying working and static Flight Simulators and their history, showing the significance—scientific and technical, as well as economic, that simulators have contributed to the North America and the worlds aviation industry.
